Custom Made Orthotics
After you have made an appointment either by phone or in person with your prescription in hand, our Certified Orthopedic Footwear Specialist or Pedorthist will do an assessment. They will start a file and keep your prescription and give you a copy. They will do a gait analysis, take an imprint and a custom mold of your foot. They will then make your orthotics on site in our facility. Appointments take anywhere from 1/2 an hour to 1 hour depending on the type of assessment. Typically two weeks following your initial appointment you will be fit with your custom made orthotics. At your appointment the orthotics will be checked for proper fitting to your feet and your footwear. You will be provided with information on adjustments and the fit of the orthotics. We suggest that you receive your orthotics before buying shoes. Our Certified Orthopedic Footwear Specialist or our sales staff can help you find shoes that will fit your orthotics in our store.
We Specialize in custom made lifts or shoe build ups that are added to a shoe or boot to lift the affected leg to it's prescribed height. Lifts or buildups are for persons that have a leg length discrepancy. They are made to lift and realign which will in turn promotes a smoother gait. After you have made an appointment either by phone or in person with your prescription in hand. Our Certified Orthopedic Footwear Specialist or Pedorthist will do an assessment, and start a file for you. They will keep your prescription and give you a copy. Our Certified Orthopedic Footwear Specialist or Pedorthist will make a quote for this service depending on your needs at the time of your appointment. They will help you select footwear that can be modified to fit a lift or build up.
Metatarsal pads are usually prescribed for planter pressure and also to help treat the feeling of burning feet. Met pads help to off load the pressure from the metatarsal heads also adding quick propulsion from end of the metatarsals. We suggest that you make an appointment after you have received your prescription. Our Certified Orthopedic Footwear Specialist will measure your feet and make sure that the pads are placed in the correct position in your shoe. It can do more harm than good if they are not in the correct position.
Stretching services are free if the shoe was bought in our store. They will be stretched on a industrial stretcher, the process takes about 15-30 minutes however for a better stretch the shoe can be left on over night.There is a $20.00 fee for all shoes that are bought else where.
Our collection of Therapeutic shoes meets the needs of our customer with prescriptions requiring footwear with a specific list of requirements. Some of the requirements include removable foot beds, deep/broad toe boxes, firm heel counters and availability in wide widths and sizes that are not readily available elsewhere. Our sales staff are completely trained in shoe fittings.

Sometimes you will try on many shoes but just cannot find a good fit. Our sales staff are trained in shoe fittings but we may suggest that you make an appointment with our Certified Orthopedic Footwear Specialist or Pedorthist. Our specialists have many years of experience and may be able to help you with a fitting by stretching the shoe or adding a filler or just knowing what your problem is and being able to pick the right shoe for you. We only want to give you the best service we can. Our shoe fitting assessments are free.
